The British 10k London Run has already come round again! Connor Burford, Ramona Hux & Sabrina Goran – all from Irwin Mitchell LLP - return from last year's team, and they are joined by Anthony Duhig (also from Irwin Mitchell), PhiIlipp Kunick (Curzon Advisers Ltd) and James Hircombe. Jacqueline Barrow, a longstanding trustee and generous supporter of The Athlone Trust, who had retired on 11 Feb 2015, sadly died on 25 February 2016.

It's that time of year again - the British 10K London Run - and once again we have gained an extra runner! Our Excellent Eight this year are our trustee Matthew Smallwood (making a return appearance!) and his wife Kathrin, Dorothee Giret and Kim Walker (both also back again for more!), Sarah Jones, Clementine Bottet, Sabrina Coelho and Helen Waldron. Please sponsor them if you can - every single penny helps!

This year - and for the first time - we had a mighty seven runners taking part in the Asics British 10K London Run on our behalf! Returning Athlone athletes were Mohaia Amin, Anne McArthur and Kim Walker, while our new fab four were Sarah Regh, Dorothee Giret, Claire Brunel and trustee Matthew Smallwood. Their fundraising efforts were, as always, essential and outstanding - many thanks to all who sponsored them!

We had six runners in this year's Tenth Anniversary Asics British 10K London Run: Sarah Deane, Christian Taylor and John Darwin all strapped on their running shoes on our behalf once more, while Chris Tagg and new trustee Mohaia Amin took to the track for us for the first time! As always, we were extremely grateful to all of our runners for taking part in the largest fundraising event of our year.

The 2009 Asics British 10k London Run came round again and this year the trust had five runners taking part: John Darwin, Tony Smart, Sarah Asher, Lena Schmidt and Christian Taylor. All five completed the run in good time and without too many blisters! We are very grateful indeed and hope that their efforts will continue to be rewarded over the next few weeks via Justgiving!

Each of our four runners successfully completed the British 10k run, despite the terrible weather on the day - many congratulations to them all! Together, they have now raised over £3,000 for the Trust, for which we are extremely grateful indeed.
